BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The government is aiming to soft launch a national ‘digital identity’ certificate by the end of the year, said Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Info-communications (MTIC) Mohammad Nazri Mohammad Yusof in his keynote address at the Brunei Digital Economy Forum 2024.

The permanent secretary said that whenever anyone applies for services in the country, it is common to have to make photocopies of the national identity card. “It is a common thing we do in our transactions in Brunei,” he said.
