BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Authority for Infocommunications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI), in collaboration with the AI Governance and Ethics Working Group published the second edition of ‘Guide on Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics for Brunei Darussalam’.

Prior to the publishing of the second edition of the Guide, a Public Consultation Paper (PCP) was released in November 2025, whereby feedback from representatives from government, industry, academia and technology communities were considered in the final development of the updated guide.

The second edition of ‘Guide on Artificial Intelligence Governance and Ethics for Brunei Darussalam’ includes the risks of Generative AI and use cases on how organisations in Brunei Darussalam have implemented the principles-based approach to harness accountable practices for AI systems and tools.

AITI also published the ‘Guide on Responsible Use of Generative AI’, a collection of series designed to promote the responsible and effective use of AI technologies for the public.

Series 1 of the guide covers prompting techniques, providing general guidance on methods for writing clear and effective prompts, as well as considerations for ethical prompting when using a Generative AI application. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
