Haze worsens in Brunei's Belait district as PSI reaches 152

BELAIT, Brunei (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Haze conditions worsened in Belait on Monday (Sept 7) afternoon, with the district recording a Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) reading of 152, placing it in the ‘Unhealthy’ category.

The latest readings recorded at 4pm on Monday showed Belait’s PSI rising from 113 at 11am to 152.

Brunei-Muara District also remained in the ‘Unhealthy’ category, although its PSI reading eased slightly from 113 at 11am to 107 at 4pm.

Meanwhile, Temburong remained in the ‘Moderate’ category, with its PSI improving from 93 to 83, while Tutong also remained ‘Moderate’, with its reading increasing marginally from 98 to 99. -- Borneo Bulletin/ANN
