Hong Kong to propose ban on vaping and add new curbs on public smoking

HONG KONG (Bloomberg): The Hong Kong government is seeking to ban vaping and the use of other alternative smoking products in order to reduce smoking in the finance hub.

The proposed measure is part of a 10-point plan designed to cut the city’s smoking rate to 7.8% next year from 9.1% in 2023, Secretary for Health Lo Chung-mau said in a press briefing in the city.
