Cambodian govt calls for major alert as country records fifth case of monkeypox


PHNOM PENH (Xinhua): Cambodia reported one more case of monkeypox, raising the total number of infections to five since December, the Ministry of Health said in a statement late on Monday.

"Laboratory results from the National Institute of Public Health and the Pasteur Institute in Cambodia showed on Feb. 2 that another man was tested positive for monkeypox, so the total confirmed cases of monkeypox in Cambodia have increased to five," the ministry said.
