Brunei student attains ‘best in the world’ recognition from Pearson Edexcel

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Every year, the Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards (OPLAs) are presented to Pearson Edexcel learners, who sit for any Pearson qualifications during an exam series, who have achieved the highest subject mark in their country, in the region or even in the world.

Bruneian student from Jerudong International School (JIS) Wesley Lim attained the Highest Mark in the World for his Pearson Edexcel International ‘A’ Level in Economics as well as the Highest Mark in the Sultanate for his Pearson Edexcel International ‘A’ Level Physics qualification.

By receiving one of these awards, Wesley has performed outstandingly against thousands of other learners who have taken the same subject in their country and globally.

Wesley was also one of JIS’ top achieving ‘A’ Level students, achieving 4 A* grades in his exam results in 2023.

After graduating from JIS, Wesley plans to study accountancy at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
