BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): The development of a stronger, more dynamic and competitive private sector remains crucial to the future of the national economy as Brunei pursues economic diversification and the aspirations of Brunei Vision 2035, a Brunei government minister said on Thursday.
Abdul Manaf Metussin, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, said this during the 19th Shell LiveWIRE Business Awards held near the capital.
Haji Abdul Manaf emphasized that Bruneian entrepreneurs play an important role in building competitive businesses, creating opportunities and contributing greater value to the national economy.
He said entrepreneurs need to be prepared to strengthen their business operations, understand their customers, manage their finances responsibly and invest in human capital development.
