Brunei ranks among Asean's top three in PISA Mathematics and Science


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Xinhua): Brunei ranked among the top three Asean member countries in Mathematics and Science, and second in Reading, in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025 study.

More than 5,000 Bruneian students from 55 secondary schools under the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Religious Affairs participated in the PISA study between April and May 2025.

The Brunei Ministry of Education said this accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative approach embraced by all, and ultimately moves closer to realizing Brunei Vision 2035.

Singapore ranks first in the region and near the top globally. It scored 560 in science, 563 in math, and 535 in reading. Meanwhile, Vietnam ranks second in the region. It recorded 457 in science and 443 in math. -- Xinhua
