BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): Brunei’s flag carrier Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has been awarded a Five Star rating for the Major Airline category by the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX), according to the airline in a press release on Thursday (Sept 21).

The award was presented on Sept 20, 2023 at the award ceremony held in Long Beach, California, USA. Accepting the award on behalf of RB was RB’s Acting Chief Operations Officer Badarudin Bagol.

The APEX Five Star Airline Award and Four Star Airline Award are based on neutral, third-party passenger feedback and insights gathered through APEX’s partnership with TripIt® from Concur®, the world’s highest-rated travel-organising app.

For the 2024 Awards, nearly one million flights were rated by passengers across more than 600 airlines from around the world using a five-star scale.

The APEX Five Star Airline Award and Four Star Airline Award are independently certified by a professional external auditing company.
