VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN): A day after Laos Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources released a notice advising citizens across the country to monitor the weather and prepare for flash flooding and landslides this week, heavy rain wreaked havoc across the weekend in the country.

Landslides crushed about 10 vehicles and pushed more cars into a ravine along a stretch of the National Highway No 8 between Khoun district in Khammuan province and Borikhamxay province on August 4, officials said.
