Brunei Magistrate Court hands 14 months’ jail to auto parts fraudster

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 3 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A local was sentenced to 14 months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday for duping people into buying auto parts they were searching for.

27-year-old Zainal Amiruddin bin Zainal Aliuddin pleaded guilty earlier to cheating five persons on six occasions in February and May into believing that he could supply them the car parts they had been searching for.

The defendant would go on social media platforms offering those in search of auto parts that he could supply it to them.

He secured cash payments ahead and would leave his victims in vain. - Borneo Bulletin/ANN
