SINGAPORE (The Straits Times/Asia News Network): Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will meet Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Thursday (March 16) for the Singapore-Indonesia leaders’ retreat, a year after both countries signed three landmark agreements on longstanding bilateral issues of airspace management, defence cooperation and extradition of fugitives.
At their meeting, the two leaders will review the significant progress in bilateral cooperation since their last retreat, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement on Wednesday. This includes the ratification of these three agreements, whose signing Lee and Widodo witnessed when they met in Bintan, Indonesia, in January 2022.
