New business applications fall 3% in Vietnam


HANOI (Xinhua): Vietnam posted a three per cent fall in the number of newly registered companies to around 19,700 in the first two months of this year from a year earlier, according to the General Statistics Office.

The registered capital of the new companies contracted sharply by 41 per cent to 164.7 trillion Vietnamese dong (about US$7 billion) year on year, the data showed.
