Pheu Thai appoints property tycoon to advise Thaksin’s daughter


BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): The Pheu Thai Party has appointed real-estate mogul Srettha Thavisin (pic) as an advisor to Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the youngest daughter of party patriarch Thaksin Shinawatra and – according to opinion polls – its most popular candidate for prime minister.

Srettha is the president and chief executive of real-estate developer Sansiri Plc as well as a high-profile advocate for greater equality and environmental protection.
