HANOI (XINHUA): Vietnam has decided to limit cars and allow only electric-powered public transport in many streets of Hoi An city's old town area, one of its most popular tourist destinations, as part of its efforts to boost green traffic, local media reported on Friday (Oct 28).

The new traffic plans for the Unesco-recognised world heritage site in central Vietnam aim to ease congestion in overloaded infrastructure facilities in the booming tourism area, the local newspaper Vietnam News reported, citing the city's authorities.
