Laos health minister advise people not to drop dengue caution due to ongoing rainy season

VIENTIANE, Oct 15 (Loatian Times): The Hygiene and Health Promotion Department of the Ministry of Health has suggested that residents regularly clean areas that could be potential breeding grounds for the Aedes Aegypti mosquito that causes Dengue.

Dr. Phonepaseuth Ounaphom, the department’s director general, told the Vientiane Times this week that the majority of the public feels it is no longer required to keep an eye out for Dengue-causing mosquitoes and clear stagnant water because the rainy season is behind us.
