Singapore reports 1,797 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (Sept 25)


SINGAPORE, Sept. 25 (Xinhua): Singapore reported 1,797 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total tally to 1,891,341.

Of the new cases, 225 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 1,572 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.

Among the PCR cases, 215 were local transmissions and 10 were imported cases.

Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 1,491 local transmissions and 81 imported cases.

A total of 215 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with nine cases in intensive care units, according to the ministry. - Xinhua
