Myanmar selects bodybuilding athletes for upcoming SEA Games

YANGON (Xinhua): More than 160 bodybuilding athletes on Sunday (Sept 18) took part in a national trial in Yangon for the upcoming Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

"We have organised bodybuilding events to promote national wellness. Athletes for the SEA Games will also be selected from today's event," secretary of the federation Min Zaw Oo said.

The Myanmar Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation President's Cup featured 15 categories in total, 11 for male athletes and four for female, he said, adding that a total of 168 athletes participated in the event.

The 32nd SEA Games is scheduled to be held in Cambodia in May 2023.
