Brunei detects cases of Omicron subvariant BA.5 as cases keep rising in country


BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, June 28 (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): Brunei confirmed the presence of Omicron subvariant BA.5 in the Sultanate, following the latest results of gene sequencing tests for Covid-19 cases, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Mohd Isham Jaafar announced at the Covid-19 press conference in the capital.

The discovery of Omicron subvariant BA.5 in the Sultanate was in addition to Omicron subvariant BA.4 announced at a press conference last week.
