BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network: The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is planning to impose a new tobacco tax of up to 10 satang per cigarette called “Tobacco Tax for Local Maintenance”.
BMA deputy permanent secretary Suthathip Son-iam said on Wednesday (May 4) that this would be the first time Bangkok will impose tax on tobacco in its areas.
