Laos president urges provincial authorities to boost commercial production and generate more income for people

VIENTIANE, Feb 13 (Vientiane Times/ANN): Party Secretary General and President Thongloun Sisoulith has told authorities in Luang Namtha and Phongsaly province to increase the production of goods for export as Laos integrates with the rest of the region.

The president issued the instruction during a working trip to the two provinces, highlighting the need for local authorities to capitalise on the potential to strengthen commercial production and generate more income for people to alleviate their poverty.
