Lao health minister calls for improved standards


VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Health leaders must do more to increase access to and improve the standard of healthcare in line with the services offered at private hospitals and clinics in Laos, the Minister of Health has said.

Dr Bounfeng Phoummalaysith told Vientiane Times last week that although Laos has been able to protect people’s right to healthcare in recent years and most people now have access to better quality health services, numerous challenges remain.
