Thai reporter apologises for offensive comments over railway

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/Asia News Network): Director General of the Thai Government Public Relations Department, Lieutenant General Sansern Kaewkamnerd, on Monday (Dec 27) led a delegation of six executive board members and reporters to meet with the Lao Ambassador to Thailand, Seng Soukhathivong, at the Lao Embassy in Bangkok to offer a formal apology for comments made regarding the Laos-China Railway.

They formally apologised to the Lao Ambassador to Thailand and the Lao people for the derogatory statements made on the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT) television programme.
