Brunei hands over ADMM chairmanship to Cambodia

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/Asia News Network): A handover ceremony of the Asean Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM) Chairmanship to Cambodia was held virtually on Thursday (Nov 11) afternoon, marking the conclusion of Brunei Darussalam as the Chairman of the Asean defence sector for 2021.

Minister of Defence II Awang Halbi Mohd Yussof recalled the speech titah Hassanal Bolkiah at the closing ceremony of the 38th and 39th Asean Summit and Related Summits and the handing over of the Asean Chairmanship that Asean Community building will always be a work in progress and that it is thus vital to remain committed to upholding multilateralism and a strong regional architecture to enable meaningful progress for years to come.
