Covid-19 deaths in Thailand surpass 1,000; virus cases total also goes above 150,000

BANGKOK, May 30 (Xinhua): Thailand on Sunday reported 24 new deaths from the coronavirus, taking the national death toll to 1,012, the country's Centre for the Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said.

The cumulative deaths so far have increased over tenfold since the beginning of April, when the third wave of the outbreak started to sweep across the South-East Asian country.
