His Majesty and Pham Minh Chính discussed bilateral cooperation between both countries and exchanged views on regional issues of mutual importance, including sharing of experiences in handling the Covid-19 pandemic; promoting trade and investment; as well as cooperation in agriculture and energy.
In addition, Pham Minh Chính expressed Vietnam’s full support to Brunei Darussalam as Asean Chair in 2021, towards collectively achieving the intended deliverables.
His Majesty congratulated Pham Minh Chính on his recent appointment as Prime Minister.
Pham Minh Chính was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Minister and Chairman of the Office of the Government Tran Van Son, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam Nguyen Quoc Dzung.
Also present were Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, and Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof.
