China’s Covid-19 test kit makers eyeing US market, amid optimism on China-US cooperation

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 26 (The Star/ANN) - Several Chinese manufacturers of coronavirus test kits are eyeing the US market as they see China-US anti-epidemic cooperation as "bright" under the new Biden administration, according to Global Times of China

Currently, virtually none of the Chinese test kit producers are in the US market partly due to trade tensions. But in recent months – especially this month, some China-made test kit suppliers started applying for the FDA certification amid rising order inquiries from the US, Global Times reported Tuesday based on input from industry players.
