Brunei say whole country is behind programmes to protect ozone layer

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Sept. 20 (Xinhua): Brunei joined the global community to commemorate World Ozone Day 2020, which is celebrated on Sept 16 annually, with several government ministers participating in a tree planting event on Saturday.

According to a press release from Brunei government, the co-chairmans of the National Council for Climate Change of Brunei Darussalam, Minister of Development Haji Suhaimi, and Minister of Energy Haji Mat Suny, and members of the council, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Haji Ali, Minister of Transportation and Infocommunication Abdul Mutalib, attended the tree planting event where a total of 42 new trees were planted during the event.
