BANGKOK: The Bureau of the Royal Household has announced arrangements for admission to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha on Wednesday (Aug 12).
The adjustments are due to a royal merit-making ceremony marking the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.
Tickets for visits to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha will be available from 8.30am to noon.
Members of the public may pay their respects before the royal remains of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall from 8am to noon.
They may also pay their respects before the royal remains of Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha Narendira Debyavati, Princess Rajasarini Siribajra, at the Piman Rattaya Throne Hall during the same period.
The security screening point in the pedestrian tunnel beneath Na Phra Lan Road will close at 11am.
Visitors are asked to dress respectfully. Those entering to pay their respects before the royal remains must wear formal mourning attire.
Men are not permitted to wear jeans, while women must wear a skirt or traditional wraparound cloth. - The Nation/ANN
