Canadian envoy praises Brunei for Covid-19 control

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): The High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam Jeanette Stovel praised Brunei Darussalam for containing the spread of Covid-19 in the country.

“Brunei Darussalam’s response to the Covid-19 has been very appropriate, ” she said.

“We have been very impressed by the low number of cases. As someone who lives in Brunei Darussalam, I am very pleased to see that we are able to live our life and I love hiking as well as going out in the community while adhering to social distancing measures. I hope that we will continue this way for a long time.”

She made these comments at the presentation of personal protective equipment (PPE) at the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (Aug 11).
