BANGKOK: Thai travel agents are urging the government to open the country to international tourists in July by first allowing Covid-19 (coronavirus) free countries to visit without the mandatory 14-day quarantine, however tourists must be able to provide a health certificate on arrival.

Vichit Prakobgosol, president of the Association of Thai Travel Agents (Atta), said that if July opens Thailand's gates to tourists, there is a possibility of meeting the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)'s target arrival of 4 million Chinese visitors and a total of 16 million international tourists this year.
