KOTA KINABALU: Insurance coverage will be given to Mount Kinabalu mountain guides and the cost will be borne by the climbers they are escorting.
State Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the move would ensure that the guides and their families would be financially protected in the event of an accident during the hike.
