KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai dropped by the Star Education Fair on Sunday on his return from a visit to his constituency in Bentong.

Liow sat down with several students and their parents who were being counselled at both the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR U C) and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) booths.

“I advised the students to ask questions if they were unclear about anything,” he said.

He added that both TAR U C and UTAR had told him that there was good response from the fair and he wanted to have a personal look.

He also spent a few minutes at the YTL International College of Hotel Management booth where he tried a panna cotta dessert served in a glass and topped with fresh fruit.

Liow was also asked by several visitors to the fair if they could take photographs with him.

The Star Education Fair was held over Saturday and Sunday.

There were more than 140 exhibitors at about 500 booths.

A whole range of talks such as “Options after SPM” and “Funding Higher Education” were also held.
