GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Lands and Mines Department tore down 21 chalets which were illegally built along the seafront in Kampung Belacan, Batu Ferringhi.
The joint operation proceeded smoothly and Penang Municipal Council enforcement director Salehudin Hashim said the 58-year-old chalet operator was cooperative.
