Jeyakumar loses appeal

PUTRAJAYA: Sungai Siput MP Dr Michael Jeyakumar Devaraj’s attempt to question constituency allocation will go unanswered after the Federal Court here denied his appeal to initiate a judicial review application concerning funds from the Special Constituency Allocation.

The five-man panel chaired by Court of Appeal president Justice Raus Sharif unanimously upheld the Court of Appeal’s decision not to allow Dr Jeyakumar to challenge the decision by government agencies to reject his application for project funds in his constituency.
