Academic pathways for all

Supportive staff: Parents and students seeking advice on the many courses available at a university booth during the Fair last year.

THE Star Education Fair 2014 hopes to bring the answers stakeholders may be searching for.

Have you obtained your exam results but are at a loss as to which pre-university programme would be more suitable?

Come listen to the experts or ask any question at the talk on Options After SPM - Choosing the Right Pre-University Programmes & Subject Options which will be held on the first day of the fair from 11.30am to 1pm.

As in previous years, the fair will offer visitors courses from renowned institutions both locally and abroad, education and career talks and other exciting activities. The Star Education Fair has proven to be one of the most effective platforms for students to explore education options all under one roof.

Meet representatives from colleges and universities who will brief students and parents on a wide range of certificate, foundation, diploma, vocational, degree and postgraduate courses as well as professional qualifications.

Thinking about a career in mass communications?

Join The Star photojournalist Kevin Tan, Red FM deejay Jeremy Teo and YouTube sensation Reuben Kang at the talk on R.AGE Talks Media which will also be held on the first day from 3pm to 4.30pm. The question and answer session will be moderated by R.AGE editor Ian Yee.

Medicine and Dentistry are popular study options and experts will share what a doctor’s life is all about as well as the medical programmes available and what it takes to be a dentist. The talk on Medicine and Dentistry will be held on the first day from 4.45pm to 6.15pm.

A representative from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) will be present on the second day to speak on Funding Higher Education in the afternoon.

Talks on Business & Communications, Automotive and Aviation as well as Engineering will be held on the second day of the fair.

For the first time, the fair will include a section on vocational institutions as there is an increasing interest in this area. A Cut Above Academy, ADAMAS School of Weddings and M.I.T. Academy Sdn Bhd will be taking part in the fair.

The Star Education Fair will take place on June 14 and 15 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 11am to 7pm.
