‘Don’t question vernacular schools’


KAJANG: Vernacular education is part of Malaysia’s collective history and should not be disputed, says MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

He pointed out that the Malay, Chinese and Indian communities had come together before independence to fight to retain mother-tongue education when the British wanted to abolish this in favour of only English-language schools.
