STUDENTS of SMJK Union expressed their love for the nation as they waved mini Jalur Gemilang at their school in Scotland Road, Penang.
The flags were assembled from the special edition of The Star newspaper, which came with a four-page spread containing a mini Jalur Gemilang cutout as well as a T-shirt template for children to design.
Friends Kellyn Wong and Diana Lum were excited about receiving the special issue made available under Star Media Group’s Raise the Flag initiative.
“It takes a few simple steps to make the flags. Now, we can stick them on our tables.
“This is a special way for us to display our patriotism,” said Kellyn.
Their copies of the newspaper were part of the 10,000 copies sponsored by Hunza Properties Bhd.
