A long long time, ago but in this galaxy, and certainly before the release of Star Wars, before it was renamed Episode IV: A New Hope, SLRs did not have zoom lenses.
Most users today probably can’t imagine such a thing, since almost everyone I hand a camera to these days instinctively tries to “zoom” the lens.
