Maybank is requiring Mae app users to update to the latest version – 0.9.45 – by April 11 to maintain access.

"To avoid any disruption to your online banking experience, please update the Mae app before this date. If you are already on the latest version of the Mae app, no further action is required," the company said in an announcement on its website.

For users who don't update, Maybank said they will not be able to access the Mae app after April 11.

Users will need to update the app via the Apple App Store, Google Play Store or Huawei AppGallery.

Last November, Maybank announced that it would be limiting access for unsupported browsers and mobile operating systems across Maybank2u Web, Mae app, M2U Biz and M2E in stages.
