Life Is Strange fans have been waiting for a sequel for quite some time now – but the wait is finally over.

Life Is Strange: Reunion arrives on Thursday, March 26, and preorders are available now at selected retailers for US$40 (RM157.58).

Fans are hoping to have the chance to play the game right when it drops, but Nintendo Switch users won’t have much luck, despite the other sequels being available on the gaming system.

Life Is Strange: Reunion will be available to play on the following platforms:

  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox X/S
  • Windows PC on Steam and the Microsoft Store

For now, the game won’t be available to play on the Nintendo Switch 1 or Nintendo Switch 2 just yet.

During the conclusion to Chloe Price and Max Caulfield’s story, the game picks up where Life is Strange: Double Exposure left off. You’ll return to Caledon University, which has been set ablaze, killing Max’s friends.

Max, who is now a photography teacher at Caledon, unleashes her Rewind power using a selfie to turn back the clock before the fire started, figure out how it ignited and prevent it from happening.

Chloe returns to Caledon to seek help from Max after the events in Double Exposure when Max merged the timelines, creating haunting memories for Chloe from alternate realities.

The latest story features a new gameplay dynamic where you can switch between playing Chloe and Max mid-game to alternate between their different perspectives and abilities.

Life Is Strange: Reunion will be released in a standard edition for US$40 (RM157.58), which is available now to preorder. However, fans looking for extras can purchase the Deluxe Edition, the Twin Pack with Double Exposure and the Collector’s Edition instead when they drop on March 26. – NJ.com/TNS
