PETALING JAYA: Maybank now allows its customers to adjust their transfer limits within the MAE app on both Android and iOS devices.

According to an announcement post made by the bank on its website, the move is intended to provide a more convenient banking experience via the app.

Maybank customers can manage their transfer limits by opening the MAE app and navigating to the "Settings" menu. From there, select the "Pay & Transfer" option and then tap on "Transfer Limit".

After that, just select the transfer type before setting a new daily transfer limit from the dropdown menu. Then, tap the "Save Changes" option to confirm and verify with Secure2u.

It’s worth noting that any transfer limit increase will trigger a 12-hour cooling-off period, during which the previous limit will still apply. Maybank says that it will inform customers through the MAE app or SMS once the new limit becomes active.

The bank further advises customers to regularly review their daily limits for transfers, payments, and reload services, increase limits only when necessary, and closely monitor account activity to report any suspicious transactions.
