OpenAI is reportedly considering launching a brand new social network that would integrate all its expertise in artificial intelligence, in order to offer an alternative to X and its integrated AI Grok.

According to information reported by many US media outlets, OpenAI is developing a new social network intended to rival X. The rumor comes from sources within the company, and the recent arrival of Gabor Cselle, former product manager at Twitter and founder of microblogging platform Pebble, reinforces this hypothesis.

The project, still top secret, would include a news feed focused in particular on ChatGPT's new image generation capabilities. Users could thus create and share various types of images, cartoons, portraits and infographics. Even content moderation, one of the biggest challenges facing social media platforms today, could be automated using AI tools capable of adapting quickly to policy updates.

No confirmation or launch date has been communicated by OpenAI, but it would seem that going after Elon Musk's turf may be a tantalizing prospect for Sam Altman. It remains to be seen whether this social network will be standalone or directly integrated into the ChatGPT platform in a bid to connect subscribers with one another. – AFP Relaxnews
