Maybank2u MY app to be discontinued from Aug 28, customers urged to switch to MAE app

Maybank has announced that it will be discontinuing the Maybank2u MY app from Aug 28. Existing users are urged to switch to the MAE app for their online banking needs.

“If you have not yet downloaded the MAE app, please do so as soon as possible as you will no longer be able to access your account or any features on the Maybank2u MY app after this date (Aug 28),” Maybank said in an announcement on its website.

It added that the Maybank2u MY app is also no longer available for download via Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery.

For first time MAE app users, the company said they will be required to register for Secure2u, its security authorisation feature through the app.

They will then need to complete the registration process at a Maybank ATM to activate the feature.

The company added that a minimum 12-hour activation period will apply to first-time Secure2u activations to prevent unauthorised approvals.

Users can continue to access their account through the Maybank2u website at www.maybank2u.com.my.
