PETALING JAYA: Pos Malaysia has posted a notice on its website, alerting customers to an ongoing system upgrade that may result in delays in parcel tracking and website updates.

"Pos Malaysia is currently undergoing system upgrades, which has resulted in temporary delays in our website updates and parcel tracking.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused," it posted on its official Facebook account.

When contacted by LifestyleTech via social network X (formerly Twitter), Pos Malaysia stated that there is no specific timeframe for resolving the tracking issue but said that its "technical team is currently work(ing) on it”.

It also said that not all tracking numbers are affected, and it will provide further updates on the ongoing system upgrade.

On X, a couple of customers complained about the lack of updates on their parcels, with one individual saying that there hasn’t been any update since Feb 14.

Another user, who hasn't received an update since Feb 16, shared a screenshot showing a Post Malaysia representative stating in a live chat that the company is facing “some issues” and will be “expecting delays due to our system failure”.

However, a Pos Malaysia spokesperson denied this, saying that there isn’t a system failure and business is going on as usual, with only the tracking updates delayed.
