AirAsia riders in M’sia to get full-time employment, earn up to RM3K monthly

AirAsia has announced that all its food and xpress riders will be employed as full-time employees, effectively immediately.

According to a press statement, the company said riders will receive benefits such as EPF, Socso, medical coverage and annual leaves. The company also claims that the riders will receive a guaranteed income of up to RM3,000 monthly.

Riders can also earn extra incentives based on performance.

“We don’t believe in contract staff and will now move towards employing all riders as full-time employees, receiving the same benefits that every Allstar receives, on top of the excellent benefits from airasia food & airasia xpress respectively,” Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes said in the statement.

According to details on its sign-up form, new riders joining as full time riders will undergo a three-month probation period. The position is currently available to those in Klang Valley and Penang. It also offers an option for riders to join on freelance basis where they will be paid according to trips.
