Microsoft fixes 100 Windows flaws in major Patch Tuesday update

Every second Tuesday of the month, Microsoft releases security updates for Windows in a routine procedure that goes unnoticed by most users. But as far as these so-called Patch Tuesdays go, this latest one was big.

June saw a special bumper-edition patch day that fixes more than 100 vulnerabilities in Windows and other software flaws. The company classifies about a dozen of these security flaws as "critical".
