Default apps on Android: How to make sure the right app always opens

When you get a new phone, links always tend to open on some strange browser preinstalled by the smartphone manufacturer. Or maybe it's videos or other files that open with the wrong app.

To make sure your preferred app is the default, you need to head over to Android's settings area for standard apps.
