Grab has partnered with service marketplace Kaodim to offer on-demand help to clean up or repair things around the house.

The new service, Clean & Fix, connects users to a variety of services like house cleaners, air-conditioner servicing, pest control and house movers; then lets users set up an appointment for a visit.

There are two types of offers: fixed-rate and quotation-based for all services.

For a fixed rate, Kaodim will connect users with a verified service provider within minutes.

For quotation-based services, users will receive multiple offers from four or five companies, with service providers issuing quotations so that users can choose the one that best suits their requirement or budget.

Clean & Fix is available for users in the Klang Valley and Penang, and located within the Grab app.

Payment for the services can be made in cash or via the ride-hailing app's eWallet. The latter will also earn users reward points.

The services are vetted by Kaodim, which sets an aggregate rating on services based on user reviews.

In its FAQ, Grab says users can change order details, though it recommends users to notify the service provider immediately or cancel the order that is in progress and submit a new order.

“Please avoid last-minute cancellations as our service providers may have allocated their time for your job,” it adds.
