If you want to buy a new computer monitor, you can choose between three different types: LCD, QLED, and OLED. Which one is best for you depends on what you use the monitor for, says Florian Hockel, an expert with Germany's Tuev testing organisation.

Currently, the cheapest and most common monitors are of the LCD variety. They have a fast response time and a smaller colour spectrum – a prerequisite for a smooth image.
